Spark Creative and Innovative Learning

ViTrox Academy envisions developing young and great minds in STEM.

We want to create a creative place where our kids and next-generation gather to tinker, create and make wonders!

We run both technical skills and soft-skill programmes in the form of workshops, short courses and long courses, exploratory events, competitions etc.
Paired with mentors and engineers from the industries.
Targeted audience group: primary & secondary school students.
Both Penang and Mainland (Seberang Prai areas).

Programme

In collaboration with Arus Academy, ViTrox Academy initiated this program to bring primary and secondary school students to ViTrox Campus 2.0 for a factory visit, STEM workshops and soft skill workshops.

First Tech Challenge (FTC)

First Tech Challenge is a program under the Penang Science Cluster (PSC), where ViTrox Academy provides our Makerspace and mentorship to support the students in robot making.

Girl in Engineering Tech (GET)

To inspire more female students in joining the engineering and tech field, ViTrox Academy acts as a bridge between the students and the female industry professionals, exposing them to the real industry world.

School Visitation

In order to spark young minds for the technology industry, we hosted several secondary school visitations in order to expose students to the industry.

First Tech Challenge

There were 14 competing teams (secondary schools level) for First Tech Challenge by Penang Science Cluster!

After 4 months of intensive preparation, coaching, hands-on mentoring, and many weekends spent at our Campus' Makerspace, two of our representing teams braved the flurries this afternoon as they showcased their inventive robot creations!

Our two teams, SMJK Chung Ling Butterworth Team, was crowned The Champion of the Competition, while SMJK Convent Dato Keramat achieved high grounds too - awarded Honorable Mention. Bravo! 🎉🎉

Well done, and congratulations to all our dedicated coaches from all combined functions in ViTrox - Kang Tek Pei (MVS), Liang Zhi Hou (AGT), Andrew Yeap (MVS), John Ranga (MVST), Ng Wen Da (AGT) and Mandy Lim (VA).

This event is supported by ten companies namely Plexus, Jabil, Motorola Solutions, ViTrox, Agilent, HPMM, Keysight Technologies, NI, Greatech, and Micron.

We wish the 14 teams from 12 schools in Penang the best of luck, and we hope you will enjoy this exciting journey with 39 engineers as your mentors!
